Thiruvananthapuram: Police Kazhakootam has registered a case and launched a hunt for the perpetrators of habits suspected of harming his neighbor’s homes and vehicles at Ullokonam near Kazhakootam.
The police identified the allegations as Hashim, a perpetrators of the habit involved in around 20 criminal cases in various violations, including marijuana peddling and causing injuries.
The attack took place twice, around 9:30 a.m.
on Monday and around 2am on Tuesday.
The main complainant, Shiraz, who was a Dyfi activist, said that the defendant appeared at his residence in the past 9.30 a night and threatened to kill his parents Rashid and Ramla.
He even grabbed Ramla with his hair and put a knife in his throat.
Shiraz was not at home at that time.
Then, he returned again around 2am and harmed three houses in the area, including Shiraz.
He also harmed four two wheels.
The complainants also accused Hashim stealing cash worth around RS 10,000 from their poultry shop located outside their residence.
Shiraz said that even though Hashim might have the help of other criminals in harming houses at the same time.
But, they can only see Hashim in action.
The police said Hashim suspected Shiraz told the police about his activities related to marijuana peddling and therefore he held revenge on the first.
The police added that Hashim’s house and car was also reported to suffer damage.
However, it was not clear whether the damage was caused during a counterattack or whether he caused himself to submit a counter case against the complainant.
He allegedly escaped from the district after vandalism.
