Officials in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs said sixth six throughout the country tested around 25,000 samples every year.
Nths does not choose the sample itself, but get from manufacturers and consumers.
“They share test reports and this helps manufacturers to modify their products.
Most of these products are included in quality control norms, which require compulsory certification of the bus.
BIS ratifies the product only when this provides tests from nths and other accredited laboratories,” said an official senior.
According to data from Nths, around 60% of the sample for testing came from government institutions, 20-25% of private institutions and 15-20% of consumers.

For example, he tested small electronics, pressure stoves; Also, the welding and certification process to welders in the Chenab River Bridge project in Jammu and Kashmir approved by Nth in Ghaziabad.
