Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court Division bench on Friday increases a single bench order on payment of wealth benefits to government-managed power utility employees.

(WBSEDCL) and West Bengal State Transmission Co.
Ltd (WBSetCl) told to pay DA according to the central level between 2016 and 2019, with an additional 10% interest in contributions.
Payment will amount to several hundred crores.
The engineer association of the two companies has transferred HC in 2016 after they stopped getting DA according to the central level, as agreed by the two companies in Revised 2009 Payment & Allowance Agreements.
The temporary order in 2019 directs the company to comply with the central level.
WBSEDCL and WBSetCl challenged this before the division bench and was rejected; The problem was sent back for the last command to the single bench.
The final assignment decided that companies were asked to fulfill their Ropa’s commitment and pay DA at the central level.
It is challenged again by WBSEDCL and WBSetcl.
The bench Division of Judge Soon Sen and Saugata Bhattacharyya ruled over the gentlemen.
