Power disorders often on the banner-pashhan rd link

Pune: Baner residents of Pashan Link Road (BPLR) claim that they have faced a series of power failures over the past two months.
In the first 10 days of September, there are at least four power disorders ranging from 10 minutes to three hours, said residents.
Members of the housing community in the area say power failure that often causes serious disruption because many people work from homes and children have online classes.
Rajendra Chutar, President Baner Pashan Link Road Frelfare Trust, said officials blamed “technical problems” for power disturbances.
“Sometimes they say the problem is in the Gubstational NCL, next time close to one of the people.
How do we talk about smart cities if this is the situation,” Chutar said.
Residents said they had prepared a log of all disorders related to the power and had visited the limited week’s limited week’s electricity distribution company to request officials to survey the area.
According to the log, there are 50 power failure incidents in the past two months.
A MSEDCL official said last week that residents met him after staff of power who did maintenance work.
“Nearly 90% of the work is done and the rest will be completed in two days.
The problem arises because moisture is trapped in various electrical lines and boxes.
All of our cables are underground.
When the community becomes old, cable is also centuries because of isolation that becomes weak cause moisture that causes power failure, “the official said.
According to Resident Manish Mishra, MSEDCL must consider buying high quality cables and durable equipment.
“Moisture cannot always be a reason, especially because Pune gets heavy rainfall,” Mishra said.
This area also has an Athashri retirement home, where power outages causes serious problems for senior citizens.
Former Sundaresh Day President said the average age of most of the population above 80.
“Unbroken power supply is very important for washing clothes, heating food and ensuring hot water.
There is a backup generator for elevators and lighting public facilities but permanent solutions are needed, “Sundaresh said.
He also tried to know why MSEDCL had not invested in a good isolation for his power utility if he claimed moisture was a problem for blackouts.
