Kolkata: Power generation in the Eastern region has recorded 8.48 percent growth to 13 October 13 fiscal, while other regions register a decline of about five percent, the data of the Central Electric Authority shows.
All Indian thermal power plants fell 3.64 percent while the total generation was lower by 2.92 percent in the same period.
When some of the country’s bags wrestling with lack of power because of the short supply of coal, the thermal power plant is higher by 9.54 percent and the output of Hydel’s sources with almost one percent in the eastern region until October 13th generation of the total northern region for the period of 5 , 10 percent while thermal is lower by 6.45 percent.
Only nuclear power has recorded a three percent growth in the northern region in the same period.
Data shows that the power plant until October 13 registered de-growth of 5.06 percent in the western region, where thermal fell 4.79 percent, nuclear by 13.49 percent, and hydro of 5.65 percent.
Data for the southern region shows that the total generation fell 5.10 percent while thermal slipped by 9.81 percent.
