Hyderabad: Consumer power of all categories and regardless of the use of power may have to go to energy costs.
South Telangana (TSPDCL) and Northern (TSNPDCL) Discom, which has gone through a rough financial crisis, plans to increase tariffs for all consumer categories, including the domestic and non-domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.
Resources in the government said that since the increase in power rates were being taken after five years, a minimum increase would be re 1 per unit for domestic and Rs 6-7 per unit for the industrial sector.
Discounts expect additional income of Rs 3,000 Crore through an increase.
The government wants to increase the accusation for this consumer category but it will be between 50 Paise and Re 1 per unit, said the source.
CM is expected to make a decision whether the tariff increase will apply to consumers less than 100 units.
