(JBVNL) on Tuesday restored the power supply at the Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd (HEC), Ranchi and on the plants nine hours after the power distribution company owned not to pay extraordinary contributions more than Rs 129 Crore.
“The three HEC plants work well now,” said a spokesman for HEC and Secretary Abhay Kant.

The sources add that the main part of the extraordinary RS 129 Crore Bill consists of additional payment costs (DPS) collected by JBVNL for non-payment of full power bills.
Since October 1 last year, JBVNL has charged DPS at a 1% level, instead of 1.50% of it collecting a power bill that has not been paid before.
The source said that even though HEC had paid the bill in installments, his failure to clean up all extraordinary power bills at one time generated DPS retribution in the unpaid number every month.
