Ranchi: Jharkhand Bijli Nigam Vitaran Ltd.
(JBVNL) on Tuesday restored the power supply at the Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd (HEC), Ranchi and on the plants nine hours after the power distribution company owned not to pay extraordinary contributions more than Rs 129 Crore.
“The three HEC plants work well now,” said a spokesman for HEC and Secretary Abhay Kant.
Power cutting, which occurred around 1:50 a.m.
on Tuesday, has brought all three HEC – beggars, forge and building heavy machines – to the grinding stop.
Then on that day, the source said that in a letter to the state government, HEC had promised RS 1 Crore advance with a guarantee that he would clean the remaining contributions that fits appropriate installments.
The sources add that the main part of the extraordinary RS 129 Crore Bill consists of additional payment costs (DPS) collected by JBVNL for non-payment of full power bills.
Since October 1 last year, JBVNL has charged DPS at a 1% level, instead of 1.50% of it collecting a power bill that has not been paid before.
The source said that even though HEC had paid the bill in installments, his failure to clean up all extraordinary power bills at one time generated DPS retribution in the unpaid number every month.
