Surat: at 48, Nikhil Maheshwari, is the usual in all major powerlifting championships and always ensures to take some medals.
Recently, he won a gold medal at several national events.

He went to live with a Buddhist Lamas in the Himalayas.
“I learned a lot of things that can help someone live a healthy life and survive well.
These things help me fight my battle against Leukemia,” Maheshwari said, who brought a medical certificate from both when he was first detected with a challenging life Disease and also when he fully healed.
“Within 45 days recovering from Leukemia in 2017, I participated in the National Powerlifting Championship in Hyderabad and won,” he said, adding that he had practiced yoga and other forms of exercise since he was studying.
“Maheshwari is an inspiration for all of us when he recovers from cancer and continues in sports that require the best fitness and strict training,” said Dharmesh Patel, one of the organizers of the event.
