You are from a letter, Gujarat, where Navratri is celebrated full of enthusiasm.
How special is the festival for you and what are the most passionate memories that have lived with you so far?
Over the years, this season has taken my place.
I have wonderful memories to celebrate the festival not only in Gujarat, but also in Shillong, during film shooting.
I also remember celebrating in the US with my family.
Navratri has become a corset of memories that I made while traveling around the world.
I remember, as a child, tried quickly during Navratri.
I will get this little hand woven Potki from my grandmother who has spent the fruit in it.
That’s all we should have eaten for that day, but we barely managed to pass the first four hours of the morning and found ourselves sneaking into the kitchen for a food canyon.
I feel that Navratri is a celebration to honor Dewi.
So, everyone celebrates the festival must reflect on it.
This is a celebration of good victory over crime after all, so someone just has to party and dance.
Navratri called for to show off your dancing skills.
How much do you enjoy playing Dandiya or Garba? Are there tips for those born with two left legs?
I really like watching people do Garba and Dandiya.
As a little girl, I want to watch people dance for hours in their sparkling clothes.
I feel very pleasant to watch hard to do.
When growing up, I learned a few steps with friends and classmates to appear at school, but for years I forgot them.
This is a form of dance, which is very high in energy and gracefully.
For those with two left legs, don’t worry! Make sure you dress to kill and applaud when you diligently follow the person next to you will spin in a circle.

Which is your favorite Garba / Dandiya pathway and who is your favorite singer?
Many traditional songs, Gujarati Garba and Dandiya are beautiful.
Lately, I have liked songs from Gujarati Hellaro’s film.
I also really loved Shubhaarambh from Kai Po Che.
There are so many extraordinary singers to choose from, but for some names, I will say Shruti Pathak, Bhoomi Trivedi, Parthiv Gohil and Divya Kumar.
What are the results for your Navratri style?
There is an undeniable magic about the traditional red-red-red mirror Lehenga Cholis and clothes, but I like mixed styles and more colorful matches too.
I often underccecle clothes during festivals and wear everyday.
I really believe in recycling and reuse.
I also continued my clothes, once I was ready to part with them, to those who wanted to wear it.
When it comes to shopping, I like to take clothes from Gujarat and Rajasthan every time I travel there.
They have a collection of beautiful traditional designs that are very interesting.
Because of the pandemic, the celebration has become virtual, what are the things you miss about the festival?
Witnessing a full celebration with bright lights, colors and the highest spirits is the most I miss.
But someone should not muffle their enthusiasm and find ways to keep celebrating in their own way, through virtual celebrations with friends or sharing recipes with family members and certainly do not miss the decor and lights that are environmentally friendly at home.
What is the craziest thing you have done during Navratri?
I thought the craziest was when our group at our high school hostel was awake all night trying to get the right step for a weekend celebration in the field.
Posting the event, we didn’t return to the hostel on time, so we spent the night on the ground, naked in Lehengas, dancing evening tirelessly in our terrible amateur make-up.
Don’t ask me whether I wear a purple eye shadow (laugh!)
