Pradhan Mantri: Youth Skills for future jobs

New Delhi: Cabinet Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan took over the Ministry of Skills and Entrepreneurship Development Shram Shakti Bhawan together with the Minister of State of Expertise Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
Pradhan will officially be responsible for the Ministry of Education on Friday.
As Minister of Skills and Entrepreneurship Development, Pradhan said he would be committed to “equipping the youth with the skills needed to prepare them for the future of work and create the link between skills and work.” Pradhan has been given education, and skills development and entrepreneurial portfolio.
He met his colleagues Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Subhas Sekhar and Annapurna Devi, who was appointed as Minister of State for Education, and other senior officials, including Amit Khare, Higher Education Secretary, Joshi Vineet, Secretary of High Level, Karwal Secretary, Secretary, School Education , at Shashtri Bhawan on Thursday after participating in Virtual PM Modi interactions with more than 100 heads of centrally funded technical institutions, including IIT and IISC.
Pradhan said the government is committed to making students and youth of the main stakeholders in encouraging India to a fair knowledge society and that the 2020 National Education Policy will foster the environment to create India ready in the future.
He said: “We are committed to instilling a culture of innovation, encouraging research, entrepreneurship, and developing futuristic solutions in higher education.”
