Etimes following a Ace singer for an exclusive interview where he spilled beans to collaborate with Malik’s arms, the equation with actress ‘Queen’, he took remixes and more.
Quote …
How is collaboration with Arma Malik? Armaan is a fantastic singer.
He is a rising and shining star.
Happy to sing with him.
When I came to the board for the song, he had recorded the portion so it was quite easy for me to get into the vibration ‘Teri Aankhon Mein’.
Tell us something about your equation with Kangana …
I have never personally met Kangana Ranaut but she is an extraordinary actor.
But from whatever I collected about him from his films, interviews and the people around him, I felt I could relate to him.
I also come from a small town like him.
He has made it so big independently, which really inspires and amazing.
So I feel great that my voice again after ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ through this song.
I am looking forward to singing more songs for him.
You are one of the most popular contestants in ‘Indian Idol’.
What is the journey after the show? The journey is very good.
Previously, I used to feel that I might be left behind, but now, with a little more age and experience, I have understood that everyone has their own time, their own speed to handle their careers and in terms of everything in their lives.
I am very happy where I am and I aspire to do better through my art.
Reality shows really open the gate opportunity for people like me who don’t know how to pursue their careers in the city of dreams.
This event helped me shift to Mumbai and realize my dream.
I believe experience makes you learn a lot of things and I still learn.

When exactly do music bug bites? The music bug bit me when I was conceived in my mother’s womb because she was a singer and had a beautiful voice.
My father is also a music lover.
My mother is my first teacher when I started my singing training at the age of 4 which was used to listen to many songs by Lata Mangeshkar Ji and Asha Bhosle Ji.
What do you think about remix trends and current song remakes in Bollywood? It might sound very diplomatic but I have mixed opinions.
Sometimes I feel good that the old melody is presented to today’s generation.
However, I also sometimes feel that it becomes very stagnant so there are no songs or original compositions that release.
I think it all depends on how it is produced and served.
I also want to add that there are some epic songs that should not be touched.
They must be handed over to the original glory.
Independent music trends back.
How do you see it as a singer? I am happy that independent music returns! Because social media, independent artists release their music on YouTube and other independent platforms.
So fabulous.
I am a 90s and has grown listening to numbers and great independent artists.
I am very happy that this generation began to experience the same thing.
This independent music trend must grow stronger in India.

There is so much to learn from all those who have walked on the way of success in their own way.
One actress you will be happy to lend your voice to …
I would love to lend my voice to many actresses.
However, if I have to mention one then it will be the Deepika Padukone.
I just love him.
