Kolkata: Former son of President Pranab Mukherjee Abhijit Mukherjee, a former member of the Parliament of the Congress from Jangipur, joined Trinamool on Monday.
Trinamool Secretary General, Partha Chatterjee handed over the party flag to Mukherjee in front of Trinamool’s Lok Sabha Leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay.
Mukherjee joined the Trinamool present in front of the Jangipur Bypoll Assembly, caused by five other assembly Bypolls, triggering speculation that Trinamool might offer tickets for chairs.
After joining Trinamool, a former member of MP Congress said he made the decision because Trinamool could “stop the communal BJP” in Bengal.
Mukherjee, as usual, gave ventilation to his anxiety towards the Pradesh Congress because it denied a party post over the past few years.
Claiming himself as the main member of Trinamool, Mukherjee vowed to work under the guidelines set by “Captain”.
Mukherjee also said he had recently asked the Head of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee to refer to the road and park after his famous father.
He then denied the possibility of the switching side despite working to be involved with Senior Trinamool.
The sources close to the development signaled that a member of Trinamool Rajya Sabha took a short meeting and held the National Secretary General of the Party of Abhishek Banerjee as the foundation to join.
“I joined politics in 2011 and won the Nalhati assembly chair, which was controlled from the left front for four decades.
I won because the storm for the CPM outt was led by Mamata Banerjee blew,” said Mukherjee.
Calling alternative mamata for Modi, Mukherjee said: “The leaders in the country, including many leaders of the senior Congress, believe that under his leadership and with cooperation from others, we can replicate the same BJP and overthrow from India.” Mukherjee also felt that the Congress-CPM alliance in Bengal did not work among people in the assembly poll.
