Praniati nayak failed to qualify for all final rounds

Tokyo: SECONDING LONE INDIA IN Tokyo Olympics, Praniati Nayak failed to qualify for all final rounds of artistic gymnastics competition here on Sunday.
The 26-year-old from West Bengal recorded a total score of 42,565 for four categories – floor exercises, safes, uneven bars and balancing beams – in the center of Ariahe gymnastics.
He is now ranked 29th at the end of the subdivision 2.
There are a total of five subdivisions, from which 24 gymnasts (the best score in all four equipment) qualified to the All-Around final, which will be held on July 29.
, Eight top gymnasts in each event qualified for each final of the individual events to be held from 1 August to 3.
However, the nayak finished at the bottom in all events.
He scored 10,633 on the floor with the difficulty of 4,400 and the execution of 6,233, before producing a score of 13.466 in a safe with 5,000 difficulties and 8,466 execution.
In an uneven bar, he came with a score of 9,033 with difficulties 4,100 and execution of 4.933, while in balance beam, he had a score of 9.433 with difficulties 4,533.
Nayak almost did not have time to prepare the Olympics after qualifying through a continental quota after the cancellation of the 9th Senior Asian Championship scheduled to be held from May 29-June in China, due to Pandemic Covid-19.
He has won a bronze medal in Vault at the 2019 Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championship.
