We are less than a week from the 2022 Union budget.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present a budget next week.
When big days close, high expectations.
Industrial leaders throughout the segment have their desires ready.
Cryptocurrency companies are looking for taxation and regulatory clarity.
The digital loan industry wants the government to announce steps to reduce liquidity flow to NBFC.
The hardware industry in the country wants to reduce GST.
Retail investors seek tax relief.
Toi-gadgets now talk to Youtuber Pranjal Kamra at their views and hopes of the upcoming budget.
Quotes from email interviews: What makes you choose YouTube as a platform? When I just started with almost nothing in the name of capital.
YouTube is the only thing I can do for free.
A truly democratic platform and offer everything I was looking for.
What support do you get from Google? YouTube and Google help us get insight and analytics about what works and what doesn’t.
This helps us develop our content strategies.
We also participated in the events and celebrations that have been held by YouTube who have helped us increase our reach and monetization.
And most importantly we get income support through advertising.
What are your expectations from the upcoming budget? I hope the government sees to bring this change: * The tax level of securities transactions (STT) must be reduced.
* Long-term capital gain (LTCG) tax must be abolished.
* Taxes paid on dividends at the individual level must be lowered.
* The 80C exception limit must be increased from the existing RS 150,000.
* Clarity about tax plate.
Clarity such as the old tax plate regime will be effective for 2 to 3 years, the taxpayer must turn to the new tax regime or thus.
The new tax slab starts simplifying the tax process, but the choices given to taxpayers who choose between the old and new regimes have created a lot of confusion.
Whatever you think FM can do and have to do for retail investors? In India, as retail investors, when we invest in stocks, we pay taxes at each level I.e when buying, selling, getting dividends, and more.
We pay STT, LTCG tax etc.
So, the way the Indian equity market is due, for several years if investors get benefits such as lower taxes in this space, many growth can be achieved.
