Prasar Bharati began improving news services

New Delhi: As part of a sweeping reform in Prasar Bharati, public service broadcasers have begun to improve Prasar Bharati news services, the arms of disemination of digital news, to distribute “authentic” news from the government and from all over the world.
While the Prasar Board Bharati has agreed to set up the Prasar Bharati (PBN) news agency in 2016, efforts to regulate services collected in 2020, when the Board decided to stop the existing news agency subscriptions, Press Trust of India and the United States India News and developed , as stipulated in the Prasar Bharati law (but never followed up), the arms of their own news dissemination.
Push together followed, senior official told Tii, after the Coronavirus pandemic, when false news was abundant and the announcer felt the need to disseminate “authentic” information from the government, including the latest advisors and information related to Covid.
PBN was launched just before the 2019 general election and focused on creating the presence and disseminating content through social media sites such as Facebook and You-Tube.
News service, which is free to use for now, is likely to be a subscription-based service going forward.
