Prayagraj: Two teenagers were held by the police desk here on Tuesday on charges of encouraging small children into Hulka Village.
The defendant’s teenager was arrested by red hand while making a futile effort to steal smart phones from the house of a boy and subsequently, a family member of the child had scolded them openly to make a failed offer to steal a two-day smart phone.
The defendant lured the eight-year-old boy who was identified as Shubham, a resident of Hulka Village from his home with the pretext of showing pigeons on Monday afternoon.
The accusation took him to the closest well where they thought to push him into a deep well in an effort to take their insulting avenger.
The case appeared on Tuesday when the body of the small boy, who was missing from home since Monday afternoon, recovered from the well on Tuesday morning.
The police supervisor (Trans-Yamuna) Saurabh Dixit told TII that two teenagers were held for pushing small children to the well.
He added that a case under the appropriate section was registered in this connection.
