New Delhi: Diesel consumption in October India surpassed the pre-covid level for the first time in a year because the festive demand encouraged industrial activity and fast vaccination against Covid encouraged more people to travel.
According to sales data, diesel consumption was 1.7% more than October 2019 but 5% lower than a year ago.
On a monthly basis, October diesel sales recorded a leap of 20% in September, driven by increased movement of people, materials, and finished products.
The sale of gasoline is too defending their growth momentum in October, with consumption up 8% from the same month 2019 and almost 4% higher than a year ago.
Jet fuel sales are too recording to intelligent recovery, reaching 66% October 2019 and almost 27% higher than last year due to limiting the number of flights lifted and people were brought to the sky with retaliation.
LPG sales also shot through the October 2019 level of 6% because lifting from travel restrictions resulted in an increase in lively trips to family and friends, which led to more cooking.
