Singapore: Two nurseries and pre-schools are one of the latest Covid-19 clusters in Singapore who reported 1,012 new cases, 90 of them were dormitants for foreign workers.
Health Authority continues to oversee the number of Covid-19 cases in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to ensure Singapore’s health system is not overwhelmed, Minister of Finance Lawrence Wong said on Sunday.
There are currently 14 people in the ICU, but this number “can change very quickly”, said Wong at the Facebook post.
The Ministry of Health (Moh) registered four large clusters on Sundays – Woodlands caring houses, Windsor Convalescent Home and my small campus in the Yishun Public Housing Area and Toa Payoh Hallway (road), one of the largest public housing here.
Clusters in Hoodlands Care Home have 12 cases, including 11 residents and one staff member.
The Cluster Home Convalescent Windsor has a total of 10 cases, consisting of nine residents and one staff member.
In the pre-school of my little campus (Yishun), there were a total of 11 cases in the cluster – nine students and two staff members, according to the Asian news channel report.
Cluster in Toa Payoh Hallway 8 Market and Food Center has a total of 41 cases, consisting of 24 staff members and 17 household contacts.
All workers in the market and food centers will be tested for Covid-19, said Moh.
This is between the 16 large clusters, Moh is monitoring.
Other clusters include Jamiyah Nursing Home, DHL Advanced Regional Supply Center Center, Dormitory AVery Lodge, Domitory Stars Blue, Pfizer Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and two public bus interitions, channels report.
There were 873 patients who were preserved in hospitals, most of them were fine and under observation, said Moh.
Of these, 118 cases of serious diseases needed by oxygen supplementation and 21 in critical conditions in the ICU.
Among those who fell very pain were 116 seniors over the age of 60.
For the past 28 days, the percentage of local cases asymptomatic or having mild symptoms was 98.1 percent.
On Sunday, Singapore has reported a total of 77,804 cases of Covid-19 and 60 deaths from this disease.
New local cases included 321 seniors over the age of 60 years, said Moh.
There are three cases of import, those who arrived here from abroad on Sunday with the remaining 919 community cases and 90 citizens of the infected hostel locally.
