New Delhi: The Directorate of Welfare of the Delhi family of the government has instructed vaccination of pregnant and lactating women can begin at the location of the health facilities for the ante-christmas and post-Christmas inspection.
New orders issued will allow breastfeeding women to get vaccine doses on sites where they go for routine immunization of their children.
Orders state that medical and vaccine officers have been present at health facilities along with vaccines, because these centers also function as a cold chain point.
“Vaccination must be done through a co-win portal in walk-in mode.
Vaccassant must be trained to carry out this session.
All efforts must be made to maintain a waste of vaccines to a minimum,” the regulation.
Directions aim to ensure increased coverage of pregnant and lactating women and district health officials have been asked to ensure immediate operationalization.
“Based on the Delhi Commission for the protection of the recommendations of children’s rights, the Ministry of Health has published orders that allow nursing mothers to vaccinate for Covid-19 in the same centers with routine immunization of their children.
