Patna: Some Puja Committees in the City are busy completing their pandal themes with Dewi Durga’s artists and idols among other main attractions to celebrate Durga Puja.
The festival will start from October 7 with ‘Kalash stapna’.
This will conclude on October 15 with the ritual ‘Ravan Vadh’.
District administration has published Covid-19 guidelines to be followed by organizers during the pandemic.
Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh said the Puja Committee was asked to avoid large meetings in the Pandal and following the Covid-19 protocol such as the use of facial masks and hand sanitis.
“Important events such as Ramleela, Ravan Vadh and Bharat Milap, will be held this year on October 14, 15 and 16 with precautions at Kalidas Rangalaya,” he said.
“SDOS and SDPOS will give permission to the committee and the committee to establish a pandal,” he added.
Kamal Nopany, Chair of the Dussehra Committee Trust, Patna, told this newspaper on Tuesday that Ravan efigsi, Kumbhkaran, Meghnad and Coronavirus would be made this year for Vijayadashmi.

Sukhdev Pandey, a member of the Navyuvak Sangh Shri Durga Puja Samiti, Dak Bunglow, said they would complete the theme of the Pandal in the next few days.
“We will ensure that all members, craftsmen, priests, and drummer are vaccinated.
In addition, Covid-19 prevention measures will be taken according to the guidelines,” he said.
Santosh Kumar, Convener of Shri Vijay Vahini Durga Puja Samiti, Anandpuri, said the arrangement would be made in accordance with the Covid-19 protocol.
