Nagpur: After the Maharashtra government stated that it issued a resolution (gr) to form the Lake Crater Lonar (LCLDC) development committee, the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court on Wednesday directing the agency to prepare a comprehensive plan for the most early historical water development.
LCLDC will act as a central institution to take care of any aspects of preservation, conservation, and development of other work to be done, encouraged and continued regarding the crater formed due to the impact of meteorites of around 50,000 years ago.
The division bench consisting of Judge Sunil Shukre and Anil Kior further directed LCLDC to complete the exercises as soon as possible.
“We hope and hope it will be resolved as well as three months from the date of his first meeting.” Bench asked the registry to make a compilation of all previous orders in the petition by lawyer Kirti Nipankar along with Govind Khekale and Sudhakar Bugdane from Buldhana through Anand’s lawyer, and send it to LCDC.
