Ayodhya: President of RAM Nath Kovind is likely to visit Ayodhya in August ending on a special train to offer prayers at the Temple of Ram Janmabhoomi.
Given the proposed visit, the Lucknow-Faizabad train route is being changed.
The President is expected to be in the state of August 27 29.
According to sources on the Railroad Council, the President can travel to Faizabad or Ayodhya with a special train from Lucknow.
Last month, the President had traveled to his home town at Kanpur Dehat from Delhi on a special train.
He also visited the state capital on the same train.
Some government departments, including trains, are preparing for the proposed visit.
Although the program has not been officially confirmed, the source said the President will reach Charan Singh Chaudhary International Airport in Lucknow on a special aircraft on August 27.
On August 28, he would fly to Gorakhpur to put the foundation stone Ayush University.
The President also tends to inaugurate a hospital building at Gorakshanath teacher university.
The same night, he will return to Lucknow and the next day on August 29, he tends to go to Ayodhya by train.
He is expected to put the stone foundation of several development projects in Ayodhya.
