President of RAM Nath Kovind gave awards in a virtual ceremony for the contribution of nurses, read a press statement from the Ministry of Defense on Monday.
The National Florence Nightingale Award is the highest national difference that can be achieved by a nurse for selfless devotion and extraordinary professionalism.
Brig Saraswati came from the Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh and was assigned to MNS on December 28, 1983.
He has served in MNS for more than three and a half decades, especially in perioperative nursing.
As a famous operating theater nurse, he has helped in more than 3,000 rescue and emergency operations and has trained residents, training rooms and additional staff participants in his career.
He has prepared patient teaching material and improvised curtain kits and stitch packaging for heart surgery.
Brig S V Saraswati has represented MNS in various national and international forums.
He has carried out various outreach activities for troops and has trained more than a thousand soldiers and families in the support of basic life.
He has made its services in various Pan-Indian army hospitals and UN peacekeeping in Congo.
He has held various levels of clinical and administrative promises before assuming the appointment of prestigious prestigious today from Deputy Director General of MNS.
In recognition of its meritorious and respectful services in the nursing profession to the soldiers and their families, he was awarded the commander of the Commander Commander General (2005), the UN Medal (Monoc) (2007) and Head of Army Staff Praise (2015).
