Pune: A Must Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) Dictate for all 18-plus anti-covid vaccine recipients, including Frontline and Health Services workers and elderly people who are looking for a protection dose, triggering chaos at the Jijamata Hospital based in Pimbri (Old) on Monday morning.
The mandate caused five people to visit the hospital for positive covid vaccine testing before noon.
However, safety measures were not in the hospital, one of the beneficiaries told the Toi correspondent at the facility.
Beneficiaries say there is a high chance of people who test positive Covid revealing the recipient of the vaccine, and other people present at the facility, for transmission.
Aparna more, the medical officer of the Jijamata Hospital, said the antigen test was quickly made mandatory after the recent increase in the Covid case.
He added that the fast antigen test was also carried out on vaccine recipients at the hospital on Sunday, when at least 15 people tested positive covid.
More said, “People who test positive covids are called the center of quarantine or told to isolate themselves at home depending on their status (symptomatic or without symptoms).” Because asked about the chances of covid positive people who expose healthy waiting in the queue for the virus vaccine, more said, “Even though there are instructions, it is difficult to control the crowd in the queue.” Vinayak Hatte, a 67-year-old citizen who came to the dose of preventive measures at the center, said he tested negative after an antigen test that was fast and allowed to continue for Jab.
Pimpri official Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) officials, who came to the dose of prevention with other staff members in the hospital were also asked to be tested first.
Even though the official was tested negatively for transmission and was allowed to vaccinate, staff members were tested positively.
When Tii contacted Commissioner PCMC Rajesh Patil on this problem, he said he was not aware of such orders and instructed the health department to attract mandatory testing.
“Testing is not mandatory on one of our vaccination sites.
Residents must go ahead and take the earliest vaccine.
Consider the increase in the number of Covid cases in recent days, only vaccination and covid behavior that can stop the spread of transmission,” said Patil Toi.
