SRINAGAR: President of RAM Nath Kovind on Monday interacts with members of the headquarters who are united in Jammu and Kashmir and are issued about the security situation in the Union, officials said.
Kovind, which is on a four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, interacts with members of headquarters (UHO) – a security grid that retains the vigil along the control line (LOC) and maintains internal security at J & K – – in Raj Bhavan here , they said.
Officials said the President was complained about the situation along the Loc, especially after a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, agreed on the second troops in February this year.
Kovind was also briefed by officials about counter-rebellion operations in Jammu and Kashmir, they said.
Lieutenant Governor of Manoj Sinha, Chief of Staff of the Bipin Gen Rawat Gen, Commander of North Army, Commander of 15 Corps, Head of Secretary AK Mehta, Main Secretary of Shaleen Kabra, Director of Police Dilbagh Singh, Head of CRPF, BSF and various intelligence agencies in Kashmir attended interactions with President, officials said.
They said the meeting lasted for almost 90 minutes.
