Jodhpur: The police arrested the president of the University of the University of Jai Narayan Vyas students and the other two followed the Face-off with the police during the protest here on Wednesday.
The police also used mild lathicharges to disperse large meetings of students who held a march from the university’s old campus to the collector.
Demanding neglect of fees, the students walked with Tricolor Chanting Vande Mataram.
In Collecting, the student church leads to congestion, which forces the police to take over and ensure the flow of traffic is unbroken.
This causes TIFF between students and police, which uses mild lathiicharges to dissolve students.
“We have arrested the President of the Union of Ravindra Singh and the other two on charges of disrupting peace and violating the Covid protocol,” said a police officer.
Students have protested the decision to collect costs by the University.
They use a rally stating that there is no class in the view of the pandemic and the collection fee by the university is not correct.
They demanded that the University administration return the cost, which has been collected.
Meanwhile, students submitted a memorandum to the district collector supported their demands and urged him to intervene to get the cost of students who were excluded.
The students had begun their movements last week, after three students including Singh and the other two had been suspended by the University Administration.
The suspension of two students, except Singh, however, has been brought back on Tuesday.
