LONDON: British Prince Andrew has left his military affiliation and royal protection, Buckingham Palace said on Thursday.
The move came after lawyer Andrew failed to persuade a US judge to stop the civil lawsuit against him who accused him of sexual abuse.
“With the approval and approval of Queen, the Duke of York military affiliation and royal patronages have been returned to the Queen,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
“Duke of York will continue to not carry out public assignments and defend this case as a private citizen.” A source of kingdom says Andrew will no longer use a ‘noble’ degree in official capacity and other roles will be distributed among other members of the royal family.
They will not return to Prince Andrew.
