LONDON: A former aide for Prince Charles while it has come down from his role, a charity established by British heir after a newspaper revelation about his link to a Saudi businessman.
The Prince’s Foundation said Chief Executive Michael Fawcett had agreed to postpone his duties waiting for an internal investigation into the allegations on Sundays and Mail on Sunday.
Fawcett, a former waiter for Charles who was said to remain close to the heir of Queen Elizabeth II, allegedly coordinated the work to provide the honor of the royal and even British citizenship for Mahfouz Marei Mahfouz.
Saudi businessmen have contributed a large number to recover the projects that are interesting for Prince Wales.
Mahfouz reportedly denied errors.
Charles’ Foundation, who helped unemployed people return to work and start a small business, said it needed a report of the “very serious” newspaper.
“Michael fully supports an ongoing investigation and has confirmed that he will help investigate everything,” he said.
As a trusted valet, Fawcett will squeeze Charles’s toothpaste to his brush and help dress him, according to a report.
“I can manage without just about anyone except Michael,” Prince was said to have commented.
In 2003, Fawcett was cleaned from allegations of financial violations of the sale of unwanted royal gifts.
He was appointed as Head of Foundation in 2018 after Charles’s charles reorganization.
