LONDON: Prince Harry said he warned Twitter’s chief executive ahead of the 6 Jan Capitol riots that social media sites had been used for the stage of political riots in the United States capital.
Harry made a comment on Tuesday, while he took part in an online panel in misinformation in California.

“Jack and I sent each other’s email before 6 Jan where I warned him that his platform allowed the coup to be staged,” said Harry Re: Wired Technology Forum.

He also targeted YouTube, said many videos spread Covid-19 information that was wrongly left up despite breaking its own site policy.
“And worse, they come to users through a recommendation tool in the YouTube algorithm itself compared to anything that the user is truly looking,” he said.
