New Delhi: Passing SDMC Pratibha Vidyalaya in Andrews Ganj, Inaayat Passi, a former Private Vasant Valley School student, wondered how different his education exposure from the students who attended the South Agency Delhi Municipal Corporation.
But even a little he could do in this matter enough to encourage him to ensure the right infrastructure for elementary school students and he launched a project to raise funds for elementary school development.
For the 16-year-old Pasi, who now studied at Wellington College in England, there was a clear correlation between playing and the results of positive education.
“When I visited the elementary school for the first time, I saw a dilapidated condition.
I spoke with the principal and found even attendance was a problem at school,” said the teenager.
“We managed to collect Rs 7 lakh and with funds, we created a basketball court in school and also installed floor tiles in an empty area so that it could be used for assembly and social events.”

Praising Pasi’s efforts in collaboration with the NGO Education Alliance, Indu Batra, Principal, said, “I joined the school in September 2019 and as soon as the pandemic hit.

Batra said that basketball court now even attracted neighboring children.
“We are now trying to hire a coach so that students can be trained properly and we can help them participate in the tournament,” Batra said.
“The work done by Inaayat is extraordinary because of his extraordinary intentions.
I want to build a school school for students who come here because they really don’t have any resources.”
