Coimbatore: A 40-year detention prisoner, submitted in Avinashi Sub-prison in the Tirupur district, died after his blood sugar level at the Avinashi Government Hospital on Wednesday night.
Italy Naduvakurichi near Sankarankovil was arrested by Mettupalayam police along with three men on August 29 to run the meat trading business at a private cottage in Mettupalayam.
They were produced before Judicial Judges in Mettupalayam and nested in Avinashi’s sub-prison on August 30.

On Wednesday morning, his condition deteriorated and he was taken to Avinashi Hospital, from where he was referred to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
When the prison authority will move it to CMC, his condition deteriorated further and he was treated at Avinashi Hospital again at 5 pm.
