Coimbatore: A police attached to the armed reserve police placed under Penskorsan after a delay was detained in the Covid Ward from Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) fled on Saturday.

After receiving a detailed report on the incident, the Deputy Commissioner of Police T V Muralidharan suspended Balaji on Saturday night.
