Private companies to conduct property surveys in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: Private agencies have roamed a survey of the properties of taxpayers in the city so that the correct details of the same can be recorded by Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) and residents do not experience difficulties in the future.
Officials said taxpayers had to provide details of their correct property to surveyors, exercises made for free.
Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, the GMC tax chairman officer, said that Unicop technology was nominated by the state government to run a survey using GIS technology (geographic information systems).
An identity card has been issued together to the surveyor on the name of the company and city corporation so that before providing property details, the owner can also see identity cards for satisfaction.
“This survey is completely free.
Appeal made for all building owners and taxpayers that they must provide the details of their correct property.
This will help in the correct property assessment and will help in resolving a lot of inconvenience in the future,” Sinha said.
Officials said the survey was being carried out in all state-city companies.
Such surveys have not been carried out in more than a decade where many new buildings have been built.
Until now, there were more than 3.5 Lakh property taxpayers offered tax rates.
Last week, GMC cleared the proposal to raise a home tax by 15% with direct effects.
The proposal met with the opposition from several board members, but was cleaned by the board in the end.
The corporation has collected Rs 146 Crore in home tax last year.
With a rate of increase, Civic’s body hopes to get an additional Rs 21 Crore.
