New Delhi: Starting July 1, a private hospital in this country will no longer be allowed to directly buy a Covid-19 vaccine from the manufacturer and must order on the Cowin Center portal.
All private hospitals must register in Cowin as a Personal Covid Vaccination Center (PCVC) to participate in aggregation mechanisms.
Most hospitals have been registered on the portal, the source is stated.
“The country and UTS will be informed by Mohfw, about the total number of doses available for private CVCs in a month for them.
They will collect requests from private CVC, maintain this number in mind,” said a statement from the Ministry of Health Union.
No need to be approved from the government.
Submission of successful procurement in the government portal will be sufficient.
The Ministry of Health Union will facilitate this vaccine supply to a private hospital after payment is carried out electronically through the NHA portal.
“The possibility of monthly consumption must be estimated by multiplying daily average consumption during the week of the Personal CVC option (PCVC) in the previous month at 30.
The maximum limit will double this number,” read.
For example, if for PCVC, while sending orders for July 2021, the 7-day period chosen by PCVC is June 10 to June 16 and in that period, if 630 doses are reflected in the Cowin given, every day the average number of doses will be 630/7 is 90.
Therefore, the maximum order number (MOQ) for July 2021 = 90 x 30 x 2 = 5,400.
This process has begun.
The following improvement in the process that can be followed by hospitals for the procurement and supply of vaccines will take effect since July 1.
PCVC can order for covishield or covaxin to four times installments and payments must be made within three days of placement.
Orders, only accepted through electronic or digital mode, SOP is determined.
Request aggregation will be made only for the Covisheild Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech Covaxin.
