New Delhi: Under “Liberalization Prices and Accelerating National Covid-19 Vaccination Strategy”, more than 1.27 Doses of Crore Vaccine Covid-19 were directly obtained by private hospitals in May, the government found parliament on Tuesday.

May in a written reply to the question at Rajya Sabha, the Minister of State for Bharati Pravin Pawar said a total of 83.61 doses of Lakh vaccines were managed at the Covid Private Vaccination Center (CVCS) from May to June 15.
“Under ‘Determination of Liberalization Prices and Accelerating the National Covid-19 Vaccination Strategy, which began to apply from May 1, a total of 127.34 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine obtained directly by private hospitals in May,” he said in response to the question About the number of doses provided for private hospitals until May.
“A total of 83.61 Doses of Lakh Vaccine Covid-19 have been managed at the Covid Private Vaccination Center (CVC) from May to June 15, 2021,” said Pawar.
On if many government immunization centers are closed until June 20 because of the lack of vaccines while private hospitals have a large number of vaccines available, he said the center has supplied enough covid vaccine for the free administrative countries to prioritized beneficiaries, as recommended by Negvac.
Countries are informed about the number of doses that will be available to them 15 days before allowing them to prepare the acceleration coverage of vaccination while being aware of the available vaccines, said pawar.
On July 25, a total of 44.91 doses of crore were supplied to the state and the United States for free and the total RS 9,725.15 Crore has so far been spent on the Covid-19 vaccination program, including the procurement of vaccines and operational costs for vaccination, minister said In response to other questions.
In the first phase (January-February) of the vaccination program, free vaccination is given to health workers and frontline workers.
In the second phase (March-April), free vaccination was first given to everyone over 60 years and those aged 45-59 years with certain comorbidity and subsequently, for everyone above 45 years.
In the third phase (May to June 20) free supply to the state by the Center continues, while America and private hospitals are permitted to get up to 50 percent of vaccine doses produced by producers.
