New Delhi: Reacting sharply to hate speeches allegedly carried out in ‘Dharma Sansad’ recently in Haridwar, the leader of the Congress of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday demanded strict action against those who triggered violence and the law to violate the constitution and law.
The All-India Trinamool Congress National Spokesman Saket Gokhale also demanded action against the organizers and speakers of ‘Dharma Sansad’ held in Haridwar, where “hatred speeches” were allegedly made against Muslims.
He has filed a complaint against him at the JwalaPur Police Station in Haridwar District.
Hitting on the comments made at Haridwar Konklaf, Priyanka Gandhi said, “Strict actions must be taken against those who incite this kind of hatred and violence.” “It was despicable that they had to go by making open calls to kill our former PM respected and release violence against people from different communities,” he tweeted.
Such actions violate our constitution and our land law, Secretary General of the Congress added.
Some opposition leaders, including those from Congress and TMC, have been on Thursday to condemn what they say is “conclave hatred speech” held in Haridwar and called for the actions involved.
Held in Ved Niketan Dham in Haridwar, Dharma Sansad was held by Yati Narasimhanand Giri from Juna Akhada, who was under police scanner to make hatred speech and incite violence against Muslims.
