New Delhi: Achieving a different record, Secretary General of Congress Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said he was not the only party face to polls Uttar Pradesh and his remarks at a press conference on Friday about being a party face made in “a little excessive way” in response to requests repeatedly from the media on this problem.
In an exclusive interview with Ani, he also said that the party decided who would become a candidate for the main minister and in several states, there was no such decision.
“Main Ye Nahi Ki Rahi Ki Utan he he chehra hun.
VO to Maine Thoda Bad to Kah Kyunki Baar, Baar AAP Log Yahi Sawal Kar Rah Hain.
(I did not say that I was the only face, I said it was in a way which is a little excessive because you continue to ask questions and answer time and again), “said Priyanka Gandhi to Ani.
“There are so many states and they have the indictment whether it is Congress or BJP.
Do you ask them whether it’s the head of minister or not? Why don’t you ask them? Why did this question put me?” He asked.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who is responsible for the Uttar Pradesh poll, has made a clear indication at a press conference at the AICC headquarters on Friday that he is the face of the party in the election of Uttar Pradesh.
He said: “Aapko Aur Ka Chehra Dikh Raha Raha Hai Congress Ki Taraf Se? To Pip? AB Dikh Tho Raha Hai Na Sab Kagah Mera Chehra.” (Do you see other faces in Uttar Pradesh from Congress? Then? My face was seen everywhere.) He also told a press conference that there was no decision taken to fight for Uttar Pradesh polls.
“When decided, you will get to know.
We haven’t made a decision about it,” he said in an interview with Ani.
Asked whether there was a doubt about declaring the party’s party candidate at Uttar Pradesh, he said “where doubts”.
“Our party decided on the face of the minister of chairman in several places, in some of our places no.
This is our party’s way, there is no doubt”.
Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and the Head of the Jamajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav had decided to oppose the election while BSP Supremo Mayawati made a decision earlier this month not to compete for the upcoming election.
