New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday hit the Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath for his statement that the assembly poll in this country would be about “80% vs 20%”, and urged elections on issues such as work and education.
The Secretary General of Congress said statements such as “80-20” were intended to divert attention from the real problems of young people.
At an event on Saturday, Adityanath said it would be “80% versus 20%” Election in Uttar Pradesh and BJP will maintain power in the state.
Some opposition leaders have attacked the main minister on his comments, allegating that it was a polarization effort with the reference “80-20” which they said aimed at showing the ratio of Muslims in Uttar Pradesh.
Make comments like “80-20” is a way to cheat to divert the attention of the youth problem, said Priyanka Gandhi.
The reality is that under the BJP government, from every 100 people, 68 does not have a job, he said.
“My young friends, with your strength, do polls, selection of problems such as work and education,” said Priyanka Gandhi in a tweet in Hindi.
Voting for selection of high hand assembly will be held in seven phases, starting from the western part of political important state on February 10 and moves east, with the final phase on March 7.
The number of vote counting will take place on March 10.
