Chatra: The Chatra District Civil Surgeon Office has begun an investigation after a video recognized as a conscious hospital pharmacist who burns a large stock of medicines where the hospital appears.
Video, which is said to be five days old, has become a viral after the action has begun.
But the pharmacist said he only burned empty cartons and not drugs.
On Tuesday, a civil surgeon Dr.
S N Singh said he had formed a team to investigate the incident against pharmacists, Shailendra Thakur, who reportedly appeared in the video.
Sources, however, say drugs include calcium, iron tablets, OR, syringes, salines and injections given during pregnancy and during labor and others are burned.
Further sources said the government supplied drugs to all health centers for free distribution to patients, but negligence in the distribution produced the end of these drugs.
Many political party leaders demand investigations and actions against the perpetrators involved in combustion.
They claim that doctors, instead of carrying out tasks in health centers, busy in personal practice and health service workers also do not care about patients.
They even accused that because doctors prescribe expensive drugs, supplied by the government for free distribution often across the expiration date and discarded.
“A team has been formed for a comprehensive investigation.
Responding to the notification of the show, the pharmacist claims that he burned a blank carton and not drugs,” said Dr.
Singh.
