Probe Crash Chopper will end soon: IAF head

Hyderabad: Head of Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari on Saturday said the investigation of the IAF helicopter accident, where the bipin gene was treated, his wife Madhulika Rumpat and 12 armed forces personnel died, will be completed in a few weeks.
The security protocol for VVIPs can also be revised based on findings, he said.
The IAF MI-17V-5 helicopter carrying the head of the defense staff of the treated gene and the other from the Sullur air base crashed into the road to the Soft College staff, Wellington, in Tamil Nadu on December 8.
The team will also question a group of people who took the helicopter video before falling, he said in answering questions at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal.
At a combined graduate parade at AFA, the head of the IAF expressed sadness over the incident and said he did not want to overtake the findings of the investigation court.
“This is a comprehensive process.
This is a mandate given to investigate every single angle and look into every aspect of what can be wrong and come out with recommendations and findings,” he said.
“We have to wait a few more weeks for the investigation complete,” he said, adding that they had received flight data recorders and the cockpit voice recorder.
