PANAJI: The South Goa Advocate’s Association on Thursday sought reimbursement to the families of Covid-19 sufferers along with an independent inquiry led by a high court judge to the deaths of individuals because of lack of oxygen distribution to them.
In addition, it requested for all those responsible to be recognized as well as criminal proceedings initiated against them.
Over a hundred people lost their lives because of this”threatening behaviour of this state government”, which failed to make sufficient arrangements to handle the issues linked to insufficient supply of oxygen to individuals before the high court intervened, the institution filed to the top court.

precious lives might have been spared had the condition government never behaved in a negligent fashion and installed sufficient infrastructure from the hospitals because of distribution of oxygen and other associated centers in a timely fashion,” it added.
The aim of this inquiry is to spot victims that lost their lives from a variety of hospitals in Goa because of insufficient supply of air and reimbursement payable for their own kin, the institution stated.
The institution also has asked for an inquiry into the insufficient supply of oxygen and also for identification of these people accountable for the issue.
