Nagpur: The Nagpur Bombing Bombing High Court has directed Amravati Commissioner Division to investigate alleged irregularities in the construction of a school in the city of Umarchhed in Yavatmal.
A division bench consisting of Judge Sunil Shukre and Anil Kior said that he (commissioner division) must submit reports to improve accountability for violations and irregularities carried out, if any, together with the suggestions regarding the regularization of construction that has been made using government funds, if that It is possible in the provisions of existing Development Control Regulations (DCR).
Applicant Inyatullah Khan, a former teacher assistant in the city of Urdu High School, submitted a request through the authority of Firdos Mirza stated that the proposed school building had never been built and a civil suit was submitted to claim legitimate ownership of the land.
Previously, there was a small animal hospital, but the building was then used to store books.
However, the umarkhed city council administrators now want to build a library and reading room in the same place, despite the fact that the sanction plan was rejected by collectors stating that it was intended for elementary school.
The council was also told to look for technical sanctions from the authorities before starting construction for school.
Applicants argue that without obtaining sanctions, the Board starts the building construction school.
In addition, the map of the building still has all the details of the library, the authorized Board which is the terping as a school building consists of one large hall that looks like a reading room and four small rooms.
“Land should not be included to use exclusively for libraries and study rooms.
If in all libraries and study rooms it must be built, the same should have been carried out together with the development of elementary school, “said the judge.
They further said that the first stage of development seemed to violate the DCR and also seemed without proper sanctions by the authorities, including collectors.
