The Producers Guild of India (PGI), the institution of Indian movie, television and digital content producers, on Monday declared a vaccination drive because of the members and related production crews starting from June 1.
As per a press release, the guild said that the members will probably be vaccinated on the multi-day driveway to be held in Mehboob Studios in suburban Bandra.
Siddharth Roy Kapur, President of the Producers Guild of India, said that the initiative had been crucial to receiving the movie industry back on its own feet towards the coronavirus pandemic.
“An action of this importance and magnitude cannot be performed singlehandedly and we’re extremely thankful for the assistance we’ve received to make this potential,” Kapur said in an declaration.
