Vadodara: Professor Pratyush Shankar, dean of city-based Navrachana University’s School of Environmental Design and Architecture (SEDA) was appointed as part of the specialist committee of NITI Aayog on’architectural frame for mountain areas’.
The committee will framework guidelines and policies to urban planning, architecture and design in mountain areas of the nation.
Shankar has done considerable research about the complexities and challenges introduced into the practice of buildings from the scenic areas of the inland terrain, both southern Nepal and Rajasthan.
He’s written a novel –‘Himalayan towns: Settlement routine, people areas and structure’ and is a globally known expert on the topic issue.
He’s also taught a class on Himalayan urbanism at the University of Bonn, Germany.
