New Delhi: Professor of Assistant University of Delhi and his niece has been arrested for a criminal conspiracy in connection with the murder of his wife in Sant Nagar Residence in Burari, police said on Wednesday.
Du Professor’s wife was killed at the North Delohe police identified them as Virender Kumar, an assistant professor of ad-hoc, and his nephew Govinda.
Kumar and Pinky victims (32) were married in February, they said.
On Monday night, the police arrested Kumar tenants and Rakesh workers, who claimed to suffocate Pinky to death and then shocked him on the orders of his husband.
According to them, Kumar told the police that he was annoyed with his wife when they used to fight trivial problems.
He then hatched plans to eliminate him, and ring Rakesh and Govinda for the same thing, said a senior police officer.
During interrogation, Rakesh told the police that he had met Kumar about three years ago and they became friends.
Kumar gave his car to Rakesh to run it as a taxi.
He also gave room to Rakesh and his family on the top floor of his house.
According to the police, Rakesh asked Kumar to give him a lump sum, not a salary, when he needed it.
Pinky was not satisfied with Rakesh and wanted him and his family to empty.
The police said he also refused to pay Rakesh his contribution, which stacked around RS 3 Lakh.
