Jaipur: Before the third Covid wave touched the state, the Ministry of Health has launched a drive to prepare the profile of each district to examine the regency preparation level, along with the availability of drugs, doctors, medical, medical equipment, oxygen generator plants and other health facilities.
This is an exercise that will bring up the results of work carried out in various districts since the second Covid wave began to slow down, to ensure better health facilities.
“For better Covid management, all relevant information is needed from the district level to health care centers at the health facility block level,” Siddharth Mahajan, Health Secretary, mentioned in the district profiling.
A health department official said that the direction has been issued for all districts to complete and submit district profiles until August 25.
The district profile will be updated on the 5th and 25th of each month.
Not only district profiles, but also profiles at the level of medical, district, block and covid in district hospitals, sub-district hospitals, satellite hospitals and public health centers will be prepared.
Official said the district profile will have details such as populations in rural and urban areas, a population under 18 years, the number of beds available in hospitals, beds with oxygen and ventilators, facilities for children’s care include beds in neonatal icus ( Nicus) and sick newborn care units in government and private hospitals.
Also, the special focus of the district profile is the availability and resources for oxygen generation for medical use, which includes the availability of oxygen concentrators and oxygen tankers.
