Prohibition of beef just to target a minority: Owaici

Hubballi: Down a lot on the BJP government’s decision to ban beef in Karnataka, the President of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Party (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi said it was a decision that motivated politics to target a minority rather than protecting cattle.
“The decision has affected hundreds of poor Hindus and Muslims depending on cheap meat.
If BJP is serious about protecting cows, they must ban beef throughout the country but they have chosen to bring acts of slaughter of cattle in certain countries,” he said.
“While it imposes a prohibition of beef in Karnataka and MP, they have not imposed it in Goa, & east-east of the east states where they have their government,” Owaisi told Toi on the side track for HDMC polls.
“What will happen to families that depend on the beef business? There are many poor children who are barriers and nutritious,” he added.
“The protest of farmers in Delhi is happening in the right way.
The agricultural laws submitted by the union government are not constitutional, and against the federal system as agriculture is a state problem.
That is why the entire country protested the modth of the mod,” he added.
Will the contest assembly polls in 2023 talked about plans to strengthen his party in Karnataka, he said the local body election contest would strengthen the party at the local level.
“We also plan to oppose the election of upcoming assembly in 2023 and preparation has begun,” he added.
“It’s not the right time to tell the constituencies and the number of constituencies from which the party intends to compete.
They will be announced later,” Owaisi said.
Aimim currently focuses on local bodies and will then see assembly and selection of Lok Sabha.
“Too preterm to react to parliamentary election plans.
First, we will prepare assembly selection,” he said.
