Nagpur: ‘Project Crimson’, an initiative conducted by the Nagpur Ladies Circle-50 (NLC), was inaugurated by the Mayor of Dayashankar Tiwari at Atmadeepam Society, Ambazari, Monday.
Under this project, the manufacturing unit has been installed in a place to produce biodegradable sanitation pads, low-cost.
The unit will be operated by people who look partially and blind from the Atmadeepam community.
Tiwari praised NLC women – Area 3 Chair of Farheen Rana, NLC Chairperson of Sakshi Dijuiska, Deputy Chairperson of Esa Bindra and Secretary Megha Agrawal – for their efforts.
Underpointing various schemes for disabled people introduced by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Tiwari said, “It is important for citizens in the social work sector for disabled people to know about projects that have been carried out by the Civic body.” “A portal was launched recently for disabled people to register and take advantage of the benefits of various schemes designed for them,” Tiwari said.
He urged people to create awareness among those who need so they can provide assistance.
The Jidnyasa Atmadeepam community Chawaldhal emphasized the need to request public funds for the project so that sanitation bearings reached less capable students and also to organize hygiene conscious camps.
Tiwari convinced his support for this cause.
Secretary Hema Kubde said, “When a daughter does not have access to sanitary napkins, they are forced to skip school for 5 days every month.
This is a rights barrier to their education.
Like water and nutritious food, sanitation pads must also be given free to students Through public funds.
These bearings are studded and support the larger causes of an environmentally friendly environment.
“He added that the Atmadeepam community aims to empower people with visual impairment and help them live independent life by providing life skills, train them in various computer courses, etc.
Bharti Sable and Snehal Wankhede will manage the Napkin Sanitary Manufacturing Unit.
They will provide direct training to blind people to operate machines.
