Kolkata: Middle-aged promoters were shot by two men on Tuesday night.
The incident was reported at around 8pm from the area of Niranjanpally in Bansdroni.
The victim, Sadhan Banik, was treated at Peerless Hospital.
The doctor said that the promoter had sustained a bullet injury at his leg but he came out of danger, said a source.
Both of them defendants, Arpan Chakraborty and Bubai, both locals, fled.
The police said the defendant was Johnnie’s colleague, with whom the victim’s wife was in a relationship.
This is the second shooting incident involving promoters in Bansdroni in less than a month.
